Bowles' Golden Sedge

Carex elata 'Aurea'

Benefits: Bowles' Golden Sedge is adaptable to various growing conditions; sun or shade, wet or dry, this plant is an excellent performer. If planted in full sun, plants require moist to wet soil and can thrive in up to two inches of water. When in shade, plants can tolerate a drier soil, but will be more lime-green in color instead of the bright chartreuse that is typical when plants are in full sun. Fine textured leaves make a dramatic show when planted in masses, borders, or as a specimen near water features.
