Our History

David and Teka Hyatt founded Panoramic Farm in 1998, but their dream of owning and operating a nursery was cultivated long before that.  David began his career in the Green Industry in his adolescence, working at a local garden center during his summers.  In 1985, shortly after receiving a degree in Music Performance from Wingate University, David began working at the same nursery he worked as a young man.  While there he participated in every part of the horticulture business, learning to love the science and art of plant propagation, the discipline of business management and the importance of caring for his customers, vendors and employees.

Construction began during the summer of 1995 and on June 1, 1998, the doors to Panoramic Farm, Inc. officially opened for business.  Originally rows and rows of corn, today the nursery is comprised of rows and rows of woody ornamental shrubs, trees and perennials, in addition to two open-roof shade houses and a series of propagation houses.

David and Teka have built their nursery business on long lasting trust, quality plant material and a true sense of work ethic.  Their ultimate goal is to produce and deliver the highest quality plants while providing consistency, variety and impeccable service.  We hope you consider Panoramic Farm for your shrub, specialty tree and perennial needs!
