Teka Hyatt

Teka has been involved with the operations and business side our business for over 20 years in both part-time and full-time capacity.  In the early years, Teka also worked outside the industry in a variety of areas beginning as an Inventory Manager, then Director of Children’s Ministry at a local church, and finally as a stay-at-home Mom.  During this time, she managed the books for the nursery, helped take cutting for propagation at night and on the weekends, and cooked and enjoyed many dinners in the nursery break room when David could not get home in time for supper. 

Teka married David shortly after graduating from Wingate University, where she earned a degree in Music Performance in Piano.  She is the loving mom of two daughters, Olivia and Madeline.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching tennis and taking long walks.  Currently, Teka is serving on the Union County Bank Board for First Citizen Bank.
